Lip Scrub

“For attractive lips, speak words of kindness. For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people” Audrey Hepburn

Autumn is here and with it comes the cold dry air that dries out our skin, my lips are chapped and sore and I hate it!!

Lip exfoliators are pricey so I dug around in my cupboards and made my own for free Yayy!!

Ingredients

All you need is sugar which exfoliates and oil which moisturisers. You can use whatever sugar and oil you like, brown sugar will give you a softer exfoliator and granulated will be a coarser exfoliator. You can use coconut oil, olive oil or any carrier oil of your choice.
I used granulated sugar, olive oil and some vanilla extract to make it taste yummy.

What you need

You’ll need a small pot or jar to store your scrub in…. Or in my case a shot glass.
A bowl to mix it all together in and a baby spatula because, well it’s cute but a spoon will work just as well.

Mixed

When I was making this post I used 1 teaspoon each of sugar and oil with 2 drops of vanilla extract. My shot glass was a lot bigger than I was expecting so I made more later to fill it.

Filled

You can play around with the recipe to make it to your own liking. I add an extra teaspoon of sugar to make it more moisturising, if you want more of a crumbling scrub keep adding more sugar.
You can add a drop or two of food colouring if you desire.
*Note: food colouring may stain your lips, use red or pink for a natural splash of colour. Wash hands immediately to prevent stained fingers.
